About the Markell Company The Markell Company was established in 1940 as Markell Insulation Company providing pulp wood insulation for local residents and businesses in Iron Mountain Michigan and the surrounding area.   Since 1940 the Markell Company has expanded into many other areas of construction, restoration, and metal fabrication and serves the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Northern Wisconsin.

The Markell Company has remained a family owned and operated business located in Iron Mountain, Michigan specializing in quality workmanship and maintaining high standards of excellence.
